Want a cheap, redneck pasta salad that uses pesto? Forgive me, as it is not truly Italian...
Boil a bag of farfalle (bow tie) pasta. Drain, and cool it off. Add a bunch of pesto. Add a (drained) can of white chicken meat. Add a can of chopped black olives (mild ones, not Kalamata, Nicoise, etc.) Grind a bunch (maybe a cup) of real parmesan, season with some black pepper. Mix well, to separate the chicken into strands.
Takes 5 minutes after you boil the pasta.
