I agree that redlining it may be a bit extreme, I haven't taken my car much past 6,000. So there is still a bit of room to spare.

Ive never taken over 5000,but DAMN,going thru that first gear is a BLINK of the eye. Any reason why that first gear is so low? 40MPH and it's get to second or it feels like the car is going to leave the ground...lol

When I was 16 (and stupid
) I was learning to drive stick for the first time in the 911. 1st gear was over so quick that I remember telling my friend that top speed in first was about 15 mph! I hadn't pushed it yet, so I didn't really know but 0-40 is FAST
