Every car that I've ever looked at on our local Carmax lot has been dirty and overpriced, some have even had blatantly obvious damage to items like trim, cupholders, etc. Easy stuff to fix if you give a damn. They're also typically a good 10-20% more expensive that other dealers.
Frankly I think they bank on the "ease of purchase" and marketing, their cars and service are average at best.
