The Cayenne V6 is indeed VW's VR6. The Panamera V6 OTOH is a different engine and basically a shortened Porsche V8.

Ah, ok, didn't know that. The Cayenne 3.0 diesel V6 is also a VW/Audi engine though. I wish they'd make a diesel V8 Cayenne.
