Since he "retired" for 1 day, he gets his annual pension of $200,000 per year, and the salary of a first year teacher of $31,000.I wonder if he can get by on JUST $231,000 per year. So he told his supporters that he's helping out the system, giving back what he could. Free health care, free everything for life. GIVE ME A BREAK. The Sumbtch knew what he was doing, and he's not helping anyone out with his generosity. Anyone in California want to chime in on this s@@@.

Saw a story about this today.
He's donating the $31,000 to charity.
He's geting the $200k whether he retires now or in 2015 when his term is up.
He's not taking benis from the "job" the next 3 years which is worth $24-30k.
His salary comes from a different bucket than the retirement so he now has ~$300k per year to put back into programs in his district which was the point of what he's done.
Apparently this will cost him (save the school district) $900,000 if he lives to 87.
