Bill don't tell us that you had to change out of your shorts and knee sox.
You do see some weather in the wellington area, cold wind blowing thru the straight.
This storm sounds like a gnarly one (someone had to use that word) bet it rearranged the sand bars out front. Do you see much windsurfing and kiting there in the bay where you live?
