THAT... is beyond awesome. That's a balanced, well-rounded kid talking. That had to be gratifying to hear.
When one of our boys would lay down some awesomeness and solid character like that, my wife and I had a "thing/inside joke" we would say to each other in private: "That probably means we did more stuff right than we did wrong."
It's moments like that when you realize that all the diaper changing and getting up in the middle of the night, etc. are nothing... especially in comparison to the rewards.
