Fist pull the leather boot over the knob,then the inner sleeve (rubber Boot)if you still have it on,then remove the retaining spring,boot knob should slide off thet shift lever.To remove the the SL pry off the the spring washer which lock the pin that goes through the shifter rod (leading back to the tranny)be careful not to loose the spring washer.Last remove the the bearing bracket & then the plastic bearing shell.




Pelican do not supply the shift lever with boot/knob ,nobody does you got to buy it separately.same for the white plastic bearing shell (bushing).
