Not getting what your saying by converting to a (two piece set up) you don't have to convert anything just replace. If your boot/knob are gone simply buy the boot like Matt did & recover it or buy the combo booth /knob (less work & hassle) but more expensive.If your shifter feel loose & wobbly either it's the pin the bushing or the ball at the end of your SL which are gone ,but if needed to be replace buy both the shifter lever & the bushing.
