Well brothers, it looks like another Pelican brother is going to be owning one of the nicest examples of a R11S in the whole country. I talked to the Pelican brother I had got the bike from to make sure it was alright with him...........and he said yes, and that even though he would always love the memory of the bike, it was OK to let it go on to a younger collector who wants it in his living room, only to ride it once a month. I took much less than the bike was worth but the new owner to be just seemed so happy..............in that he had been looking for a long time, for a yellow one with all the right things and this was it. He is sending down a bike carrier to pick it up. As I photographed it today I was taken at how perfect it is. Wide rear wheel rim, non-ABS brakes, steel lines front and rear, CC Products intake snorkel combined with large K&N filter, shortened torque lever, carbon fiber triple tree and boot heel protectors, Staintune performance exhaust system with removable baffles, Sergeant seat, custom belly pan with matching paint, Galfer pads, wave rotors front and rear, Ohlins fully adjustable shocks front and rear, #457 of the first 500 made in fall of 98, pit bull stand attachment and stand included, ect. 3510 miles only and not a single flaw. The market is so far down and money is so scarce or I never would have sold it. Still............knowing it is going to someone who really cared means a lot to me. Thanks for the private messages and the suggestions on pricing in this uncertain times. She is sold and soon to be picked up. Never rained on, washed, or waxed during my stewardship and as perfect a paint job as I have ever seen on used bike. A great bike in 98...........and still a great bike today. Long live the few low mileage R11S units still to be found. This one is the lowest mileage one I know of or have ever heard of. Thoughts........
