*different*
Definitely see Panamera dna there, a GT or a 2 door Panamera......
The reality of permanent progression away from our beloved air-cooled 911 DNA (lite-nimble-pure sports car) evolving on past the 997 towards a true, big GT.
What bugs me about this is, Aston Martin, Bentley, Audi etc have all in recent years tried to pull away 911 buyers by drawing from the styling and power/performance of the 911, it was them going after us.... Now the 991 looks like we (Porsche) are going after their market

-> big - heavy - over the top luxury beasts.... Now that is sad..
With all that being said, this isn't a shock to me, we have all seen this coming, haven't we? And I for one would still love to own one of these uber luxury GTs, I could easily see myself cruising out to LV, I just wouldn't want to drop 6 figures on it.
The modern 911GT is still a fun car to drive, blindingly fast, powerful beasts, but alas
they are completely different cars then they used to be, some might say "separated from the original 911 DNA".
Is the
991 the end of Porsche as we knew it?
No no no no, it's just *different*...
