I've always told my wife that, if she has a flat tire or blow out, to drive the car to a nearby gas station or parking lot, EVEN if that means driving on the rim. I'm always amazed at the people that change their tires on the side of the freeway, especially those who do it just beyond an hill b/c you can't see them until you crest the hill.
