I think PFM is referring to disabling the weighted advance by locking the advance plate. Then you program the advance curve using the MSD.
I think the last time I read anything about this was that you could only get limited degrees of advance from the MSD programmable when using a stock dizz, I am not sure.
Do some research first before diving in, if the spark isn't advanced correctly you can cause some serious damage. Rotor Phasing...
