I believe you. I said it doesn't bother me
much.... 3 inch magnum 1-oz slugs from a rifled Remington 870 makes me somewhat unhappy.....
You really can't underestimate the difference the design and fit of the gun makes.
For example, a Remington 870 vs a Browning Citori Upland Special. Both 12 gauge, the 870 is heavier and has a recoil pad, yet the felt recoil is a little less on the Citori.
