Impersonating a General
At work, an individual filed a complaint against a couple of my guys. When providing his information, he identified himself as a retired Army General. I completed the investigation, but during my interviews with the "General", there seemed something amiss. I could not put my finger on it and his cover story was convincing. He is attempting to garner special privileges based upon his prior position. I told him regardless of his position, I was conducting an objective and unbiased investigation.
However, the detective in me told me something was not quite right. I did a little sleuthing and found the complainant had been previously arrested by the feds for impersonating a military officer! I am in the process of gathering the reports and information, which is very difficult across agencies.
In a few days, I am going to have all my evidence to let justice prevail. I am embarrassed and ashamed that this guy would attempt to do this!!!
I cannot provide additional info, but I'll follow up with a little bit more once I finish, David
