We had a Set Medic on one of our action TV shows a few years ago. She claimed to be a Navy combat corpsman (corpseman) with live and death combat experience. We relied on her to be there for possible injuries during stunt sequences. She told some else on another show she had been an Army Medic. Checking into it, we found she was neither. She doesn't work on our shows any more. It really ticks me off when not only does someone claim they were are a vet, but we relied on that experience for possible emergency first aid. On the big stunt scenes, we usually have paramedics/EMTs with an ambulance standing by, but it still ticked me off.
