I have never messed with the 6al2 so I cannot comment. You could spend money on another dizzy and find that it requires a rebuild so be careful what if you go that route. rebuilding or recurving yours gives you the knowledge that it ready for years of trouble free service.
If you do decide to find a different distributor 78,79, and even an 80 will work.
