Both reference books I have have the same mistake when listing the US T Targas and coupes. This is a correct VIN for a US coupe. The A pilar VIN is correct also for US cars. What is strange to me is the 'C' series on the on the aluminum tag. The '71 model year cars are 'D' series, not 'C' series cars. What is the date on the DOT decal on the door striker panel?
What is the engine serial #? It should be 6114XXX.
