When we flew back from Portland OR to Dallas there was no food served. There was a weather delay so we landed over an hour late. At DFW the every restaurant was closing up. I walked about 1/2 mile and found a guy with some crappy cold turkey sandwiches. He was about to turn off the lights but he stayed open long enough to sell me the last two sandwiches. I paid 12 bucks apiece for a day old crappy sandwiches. Our flight out to OKC was another late because of the same weather delay. We did not get home until 2:30 AM. The other folks in our waiting area were eyeing our sandwiches. It amazed me that a huge airport like DFW did not have any open restaurants.
