9111102583 is correct as the highest VIN in the series. In my database I have a string of VINs about evenly spaced up to near that number, so the typo was a "0" instead of the "2".
I do not see any D series in my photos of the VIN tag, just C for 1970 & 1971, then E for 1972 & 1973. The tags show the KG to AG change in mid 1973. It also looks like F in 1973, that confuses me a bit.
