Ben used to hang out (along with his brother) in a local college bar (music venue too)...I'd give him hell about that
. Talented dude (and I used to work with his mom). I remember telling her the day after the debut of the Ben Folds Five (same bar) that I thought he was "on his way", despite being an untraditional three piece band (baby grand, stand up bass, and drums)...a talented songwriter for sure and he sure knew how put on a good show back then!
