Interesting experience. Went to doctor for annual physical. Compared to previous years, my blood pressure is much better (102/50), cholesterol is normal (HDL could be higher), blood sugar normal (had been borderline pre-diabetic). I'm going to try coming off some meds, one at a time with blood work retests every 3-4 months. So, a tangible medical benefit is starting to emerge from this weight loss. I need to get down at least another 10 lb, and do more exercise.
I've started measuring my body fat, and I have a lot more that I can, and should, lose. Carrying 44 lb of body fat! Admittedly about 10 lb is about the minimum consistent with being alive longterm, that is still 34 lb I can take a whack at.
