Haven't bought it yet. Still haven't gotten to get back out there during the week to check the vin and engine numbers. The area where it is at is locked on weekends and can't get in there, and I don't play well with dobermans. Talked to a guy at a SCCA event, who said he has owned 7 old Porsches said that it is not worth persuing unless it has the 3.0 engine - any suggestions? You all seem to really know your Porsches.
Does anyone know a good resource to decode the vin and engine numbers before I spend the $ and go straight to Porsche for a certificate?
Can you tell a 2.7 from a 3.0 just from my pictures or is the intake/fan/assorted items look the same from my pics?
