Old Nikon LS2000 Scanner With Mac?
Just a shot in the dark here . . . I found an old Nikon LS2000 negative scanner in my closet. I vaguely remember someone giving it to me a long time ago.
I don't have a desktop Windows PC that I can install the Nikon software on and the SCSI interface card in. So if this thing is going to work, it needs to work on a Mac Mini running OS X 10.4 and USB.
I did a bit of searching and there appears to be OS X 10.4 friendly open-source scanner software that claims to support the LS2000. But I haven't found a "tried and true" way to adapter SCSI to USB. There are SCSI-USB adapters, but I've not found reports of any working with a scanner.
Anyone just happen to know the answer?
This is not the highest-priority project - half an hour ago I didn't even know I had the thing, and yet life was nevertheless worth living - but if there is a simple enough solution, I'd give it a shot.
