As a former collision shop owner (and a licensed hazardous waste generator) I was required to keep an MSDS(material saftey data sheets) in the file cabinet on all the nasties. Paint,solvents,ect. I was the unwilling subject of a surprise inspection by the MPCA.(Minnesota Pollution Control Agency) I had a few infractions, (they need to find something and nobodies squeeky clean) and received an L.O.W.(letter of warning). After I corrected the infractions, and sent in point-counter-point documentation to my inspector, (about 20 pages!)I recieved an all expense paid trip from the MPCA to their convention and received an award for outstanding efforts in compliance. I guess I kinda spun out there for a second. But I kinda know paint.
I guess my point is, If your doing an overall refinish and can't locate a supply store that can mix your color by the code located in the drivers side door hinge pillar, Just have them scan the car. The service is free and the computer (in most cases)will render a blendable match. Good Luck
