In Seattle they were really common! I remember the 6's as we knew they were real Porsches and would notice if one of them drove by.
But they did cost some good money, heck a 76 was over $7k new. I know I test drove one twice but the little women thought it wasn't too practical, so we got a station wagen.
I remember only the first one I ever drove/rode in- a 1970 white that a friends gf got for her HS graduation plus that women I knew that had a green LE. ugly car that it was.
