My son was one of the camera operators for that shoot. They used 19 cameras over 4 days, one of which was a 4000 FPS unit for the super slow-mo.
The car was prior season tub with a mule motor. They even had electric fans mounted for the radiators and oil coolers.
He had a lot of the raw footage on his computer and it was wild. The guys in the helicopter felt like they were taking fire form all the rocks.

I was out at the track a couple of weeks ago and took some pics, this is turn 1 and the track grade will be where the base of the orange barrier with the flag mounted, on the far right. This shows how deep the track bed will be.
