If he continues with his winning ways then his total lifetime stats will be phenomenal. Tyler Seguin won a Stanley Cup in his NHL rookie year at the ripe age of 19. The kid shows a lot of potential but that one stat doesn't make him great (obviously he was lucky to be with the right team). If he wins 3, 4, or 5 more cups over his lifetime then he has some bragging rights.
It would be sad if Crosby's career is over but, what he has racked up to date is not enough to make him the greatest ever. If he stopped playing I would agree he possibly could have been the greatest but, unless he keeps playing he doesn't earn that title yet. Think about racing: after a race ending accident, most drivers will say "I believe we had a car that could have won today". "Could have" ain't the same as "done did it". Nes pa?

Again Joe, no one has called Crosby the greatest ever and I don't think he will be. We all know it's Gretzky, (although I'd argue Mario would have been under the same rules as Gretzky played under and his health issues.)
So give us a prediction. (A serious one!)
