I somehow doubt that Offroad F1 car had and F1 engine in it.
My bet is, they stuck a small, relatively low power production car engine in it with in a reinforced frame (F1 engine is normally load bearing part of the chassis) and then over dubbed the F1 car engine noise.
Because if you think about it, F1 cars can spin their tires on tarmac, so on dirt, you'de hear some pretty funky revving and bouncing on the limiter..it would never be fluent...They could never hope to transfer power with such a light car, at such low speeds with so much power.
