I'd stick with HTC hardware. I'm sure the Galaxy is good too, but I've had 2 HTC phones now and they have both been great. For current offerings that aren't too expensive, the T-Mobil G2x and the MyTouch 4G. I think you can get both on an upgrade for about $100.
