Got the same kind last week, but the Canadian version. The told me defrauding the Royal Bank has done it.... How do they know....
It's amazing to know how many people actually go for it.
I wrote a newsletter article about it a few years ago and it's still filling up our mail boxes:

This is the article:
A I am a winner! After winning the English, Dutch and national Lottery of Nigeria I decided to book a ticket around the world to collect my newly acquired wealth.
Finally, after not purchasing even one lottery ticket in my life before this, the breaking news came rolling in on my newly activated blackberry. I had won 3 major prices in 3 separate lotteries with a total of $50,000,000 and yes, the expensive US dollars. Imagine my luck!!
I e-mailed the manager of my bank to cancel all the mortgages, loans and leases, and a small request for an additional loan. They must already know about my wealth-to-be because they asked me to inform them about my password and codes on their website.Security reasons you know. How convenient. Can’t be too careful these days.
So, I need some cash to get the money I inherited from my late uncle’s and aunt’s brother in law who was related to the empire’s son of an exotic island far away. Unfortunately for him he died of a tragic car accident during a hostile takeover by savage rebels. Just before he died he took the time to make note that I could get a piece of his wealth. What I did not realize is that this guy was good friends with the King of Pop. An e-mail from a big shot lawyer out of the States came in about me being included in the will. They must have been talking about me during their conversations overseas. Do I ever love my Blackberry, ever since I bought it it’s only giving me good news all the time.
I just closed a deal with a highly notorious official, Rev. Brown, to sell our rental equipment!! He must have been a relative of the guy from whom I inherited all the cash. He knew exactly what we had in our inventory: tents, generators, pumps etc. We sold it all! The only thing I have to do is ship all the equipment to an address at the other side of the world, and they will send me a money order.
Tomorrow I will write a check for the brand new Mercedes I bought from the classifieds; the seller only wanted less than 1/3 of the new value. Can’t go wrong on that one!
Imagine this happened all in a days work. Can’t believe it!
I really hope the guy who rented the hammer drill today will return it on time. You just can’t just trust people by a friendly face anymore you know……
