My wife loves to collect pictures of dead presidents. 20's 50's & 100's are great but she won't turn down 5's & 10's.
Money is:
-always in style
-always the right color
-fits perfectly (God forbid I pick the wrong size)
-never needs to be returned so no receipt needed
-never refused because she already has one and doesn't need any more

I get creative as to how to give it to her. I always include a card with a heartfelt hand written note and sometimes also add something of no great value that is fun or good for a laugh.

Back when we were first married (and dirt poor), I bought a tin container at the dollar store with a picture on it that related to something she loves and filled it with crumpled up $1 bills. It looked like a million. She loved it and still has the tin.
