The lifting eye works fine, don't sweat it, and of course if putting the engine on a stand, then the yoke is attached first and then it becomes an even better place to lift from. At the front, just lift anyway you please from the engine mount as shown in other photos using straps, chains, rope. I put a couple of spare bolts in the engine mount holes and used the chain on my "leveler" device.
