Here is what I have for night mountain bike rides. I have one on the bars and another on my helmet if I'm not with many others with bright lights. When there are seven or so out the whole trail is like daylight - but it still adds a whole new dimension a trail that you thought you knew.
Also helpful for darktime poop patrol when I forget on trash night! I even provided stage lights for the family campfire variety show. The dim settings last 12+ hours on the rechargable Lithium ion battery packs.
