I like the letter but guess I would ask if you expressed your disappointment at the restaurant before leaving earlier today as well. I would have done that and then followed up with the letter.
Not trying to Monday morning QB. I think the people in the trenches need to know that what they are putting in front of customers is under par whether it's quality, quantity or price. This behavior also helps explain why the tip is what it is. I think the tip reflects the quality of the food as well as the service.
