Here's a thread with someone replacing the TB with engine "in" car. Also, states that there was plenty of room in that area. It says to drop the tanks. Although no pics were taken.

Hi,to change belts in situ,remove fuel tank.Remove 2 engine mounting bolts and 2 gearbox mounting bolts.Engine can then be moved back 30-40mm.Then raise engine at front with hydraulic jack,this then allows you to loosen crankshaft sprocket.Access to the belts and tensioners etc is very restricted and I would not recommend this procedure for a belt(s) change.However it definately can be done!
