Mileage? Consumption seems a little high, but the car is 10 years old. My Ford F-150 has been losing about a quart every oil change and this started at 70,000 miles. I've had it since it was brand new, never missed an oil change, not excessively hard on it and it still uses oil somewhere. If you're really concerned about your Volvo you can have a shop do a leak-down test to determine where the loss is coming from, either the piston rings or the valves. This is a relatively inexpensive procedure or just buy the gauge and pull the spark plugs and check it yourself.
