Well, that was a lot of fun for $$$. We spent most of the morning in the karts with three sessions of about 10-12 laps. Then it was time for autocrossing in the Corvettes.
Unfortunately, I didn't win the kart competition, but came in second. The guy who beat me has actually raced karts and his son currently races karts, so I didn't feel too bad. His best time was less than a second ahead of me. My last timed lap felt the fastest right up until the point that I came up on a slower kart.

I really, really, really wanted to win the 2 day driving course.
I DID win the autocross competition in the Corvettes. I was hoping Bob was going to be so impressed by my stellar time that he was going to offer up another driving course, but it didn't happend. I did get a trophy and got to meet Bob and his wife, Pat, which was pretty cool! Bob had surgery yesterday to repair damage done by a brown recluse spider bite, but still spent the day talking to students at the school, shaking hands, and posing for pictures.
