Yeah, having the seller do the PPI is pretty much useless. Just because they're a Porsche dealership doesn't mean they're all above-board. I would definitely have it done at another shop. If the selling dealership balks at that, I would take that as a reason to be concerned.
You'll have to fork over $500 to get your warranty registered here in Canada. At least, that's the fee at the Ontario dealerships. If you're in a different province, it might be more or less.
