I would not use the gutterstuff. We regularly work with a residential builder which does alot of gutter/roofing installation work and he advises against the product, even though he is a supplier/installer, and can make easy money steering clients towards installing the stuff. He claims that they don't block everything and that the gutters will still need to be physically cleaned--esp. in a high leaf area. And he claims they don't do a thing against pine needles.
He doesn't do gutter cleaning as a part of his business, so he isn't just trying to drum-up cleaning sales--he just thinks the product is not a substitute for regular cleaning.
