Not sure why your email isn't working better.
Set up a gmail account and have it check your Yahoo account.
Then set up a MS exchange account for gmail and Push monitoring of your email, calendar and contacts.
Don't forget to backup your contacts first. When gmail sync's, it will erase the phone the first time if you are not careful.
