Know a guy that worked at Braums dairy. They had a milk recall for too much ecoli...made ice cream out of the recalled milk because they don't check ice cream for ecoli. eech. You never want to work in a food company that you like the food.

I like to get the really cheap ice cream and add just a little milk to it and stir it up, it gets ice crystals just like home cranked. The more expensive brands have too much extra stuff in them to "make it smooth and creamy" so they don't make the ice crystals like home cranked has.
