Just got to the keyboard and found this thread, so I must comment......
I consider myself *very* lucky to live within 150 miles of John's friendly shop. I've driven that distance several times just to hear his generously-given advice. Also, he never refuses an e-mailed or phoned question when you're stumped, or in an emergency situation.
A great mechanic as well as a good friend. Thanks for being there for us, John.
Edit: John doesn't realize it, but he is actually writing a book. Everytime he posts here, I print it out and put it in a special binder. Already building "Volume 2".
