We were digging in the archives again so I will bore you guys with another cool photo.
The area on the right where the tower is, is the original Wiley Post airport founded by Wiley Post. He is the man that discovered the jet stream and did the first high altitude flights.
The open area right in the middle is the remains of his airport after the land became more valuable as a residential area. The current Wiley Post airport is just a few miles further west.
This is a vertical view of the airport. That is a drive in theater across the street on the left.
I looked up the N number of 15224C and it came back as a 1972 Piper in Florida. Since this picture was shot on October 7th 1956 it can't be this Bonanza.
Some of the other photos showed the full N number of the V tail Bonanza.
