My '86 Carrera Coupe just turned 120,000 miles this summer. Still a baby. Had valve guides done at 88K and "while in there" new cylinders, pistons and valve job as well as a 915 rebuilt and new clutch. This is my pleasure car and I drove it only 2500 miles this summer but it had spent 2 months at the body shop for some cosmetic work and honestly looks like new now.
My driver (almost daily) is a 1973.5 911T with a '75 2.7S motor. It only has 54K miles on the clock! But this is probably more likely 254K or 354K miles.
The biggest problem up here in the Pacific Northwest is rain for 10 months of the year and about 3 to 4 months with salt, so rust is more of an issue for the '73 than mechanicals. I don't drive the Carrera in the winter anymore, but it still gets driven in the rain.
