Hi; looking at moving up from the Cayman to a 2007 Carrera S. I've found a car locally that has been regularly serviced with 30K miles, but is a lease return from out of Province so a chat with the previous owner isn't practicable.
I plan on a PPI, but reading up on the 3.8l motor there is a lot of material on the internet regarding major engine failures on these cars that arise along the continuum from hard to light driving, notwithstanding regular maintenance.
Is this particular drive line extraordinarily flawed?
Experiences or observations of the informed are appreciated.
