I think there a lot of us who read John's responses and appreciate them. My parking brake light came on unexpectedly and stayed on while at a light. When I got home, I read one of his post, "usually, it's the brake light switches bleeding info to the printed circuitry in the dash unit. try the battery disconnect with the key on, then when it's reconnected, turn off the key, and then start the car."

I tried it and it worked - I had to laugh because it was too easy and I haven't had a problem since then. I am certain he saved me quite a few of hours of troubleshooting.
