My mother had one similar to this when I first got my license...but I took my test in something smaller! Hers was a '75 Olds Custom Cruiser, navy blue (special ordered without the "shelf paper"). It had a 455 c.i. V8 & power clam-shell rear doors. I remember it had a "fuel economy gauge" (essentially a vacuum gauge, I think), which was a joke because the MPG was awful no matter what you did. We used ours to tow our 25-ft Airstream...which made the fuel economy even worse.

Here is my wife's current driver. And no, it is not the evil black Audi wagon that screwed up the R-Gruppe photo! It is a very nice car.
