Great car!
I would say from a mechanical point of view, if it was running fine the last time your dad drove it, it wouldnt take the best people here more than a couple of weeks to get this car up and running again, as far as the rust issues, well, that might be a bit more daunting.
Good luck with it, and if it were my dads, i would definately keep it!
