Peter Gregg

I just finished reading the 2 part article on Peter Gregg in "Vintage Racecar" magazine. Anyone else seen it? I'm curious about people's thoughts. Gregg has always existed on the edge of my awareness since I started attended sports-car races just a few years before he died, and in those days there was almost no TV coverage and very little print coverage in the media of the series. Ironically the first IMSA racers that I remember were JLP and JLP Jr since their car made the biggest impression on my at the first Lime Rock event that I attended with my Dad. But that's another story.

But the article on Gregg I thought was thoughtfully written, and it helped to explain to me the relationships between him, the future racer Debra Gregg, Bob Snodgrass, Hurley Haywood and even Doc Bundy! At the end of the day I thought that the writer (Hal Crocker) did a good job of describing the Gregg's complex character in balanced fashion that resonated with me, and in so doing portrayed a view of what it is like to be around someone who has psychological issues (dare I say demons?).

What do others think about the article or Gregg?
